“Christmas Sing-a-Long”, Sunday, December 22:  Come and join together your voices for a time of singing and sharing of the joys of Christmas! We will have cookies, cocoa, and wassail in the Fellowship Hall from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Invite your friends and neighbors!

2nd Saturday Serve this week! 8:00 am BREAKFAST, 9:00 am Decorating the Church  Everyone’s Invited!

Salvation Army Bell Ringing; Continue the tradition! Resurrection has had members participate in the Salvation Army’s Kettle collection for many years. This year, we’re scheduled for this coming Friday and Saturday (Dec. 13/14) at the Food Lion at 5210 George Washington HWY, Grafton. Sign up today!

“Praise with Poinsettias for the 2019 Christmas Season at Resurrection” event is underway! You can serve and praise God with a 6-inch red poinsettia for $8.00, given in honor or memory of a loved one. Order forms are available in the Narthex (at the   Ushers’ station) and at the Altar Flower-Gift bulletin board. The deadline for placing your order is TODAY!

Holiday Gift Cards . . . are available through our LYFR (Lutheran Youth Fellowship of Resurrection) fundraising “scrip” program. They are available for immediate purchase or you may pre-order gift cards of your choice. Our last date to order is Sunday, December 15th. Gifts will be available for direct purchase December 22nd. CALL COMMITTEE: TODAY is the last day for you to make a nomination for a pastor-candidate to be sent to the District President. If you have not already done so, please complete one of the official nomination forms (available on the desk in the Church Lobby) and turn it in to Pastor Ramey. He will be sending all of the submitted nominations to the District President tomorrow.

Prayers for our Transition Process are still needed:  Continued prayers for our church leaders and interim pastor as they serve us during this time;   Guidance for SED President John Denninger as he carefully and prayerfully prepares a list of candidates in consultation with other District Presidents;  Support and guidance for our Call Committee during their work;  Patience and encouragement for our congregation at this time
