By God’s grace our youngest saints have been growing in knowledge and faith each week and we give thanks for the blessing their regular attendance has been! On Palm Sunday, March 24th, the students will glorify God by offering a song of praise during the worship service. They have been working hard with Ms. Elizabeth to prepare. That day there will not be regular classes but a whole group lesson to focus on the events of Holy Week and Jesus’ great sacrifice for us. Annette Yarrington will lead the group lesson after which the students will make a craft and enjoy special snacks. Students will each receive an Arch book about Holy Week There will be no Sunday School classes on Easter Sunday, March 31st, so that all may enjoy the Easter breakfast between services that joyful day. |
Palm Sunday – March 24, 2024Have you ever wondered what it would be like to walk where Jesus walked? Then come with us as we take a journey in the Footsteps of Jesus! This feature-length documentary film follows Bob and Pam Rognlien as they lead a group of spiritual pilgrims to explore Jesus’ world and the extraordinary life he lived. The film takes us on an incredible journey from Bethlehem to Nazareth to Capernaum to Jerusalem. Along the way we draw on history, archaeology, and culture to bring Jesus into clearer focus and consider what this all means for our life of discipleship today. You will hear from some of the participants in this amazing adventure as they share how this experience is impacting their faith and life.
The January – March edition of this excellent devotional booklet is available at the Ushers’ Desk in the narthex. Please ask an Usher for a copy or call the church office to have one mailed to you. Why not take two copies and share one with a friend!

While the ultimate goal is to develop relationships with the school parents and families, this is a stepping stone which will hopefully help that process when other opportunities arise (Advent / Lenten Meals, School Programs, Special Services, letters / cards etc.) where we can show them the love of Christ through increased time and relationship actions.
So You Want to Volunteer at the School ??? There are many ways you can get involved including reading to the children, helping out with activities, spending time in the rooms with them or other ways that don’t involve being with the children directly such as picking up food orders from the store, helping with classroom organization or donations. The children are always excited to see new faces and the teachers appreciate the help and the opportunity to meet some of the congregational members. What do I need to do to help directly with the Children ???
Click here for a simple go-by instructions about what is needed to volunteer with the children. It is an accreditation requirement that anyone directly interacting/helping out with the children be screened and meet these requirements. It is simple and free for the volunteer. Please complete this if you would like to help out with the CDC in person and provide the information to Melanie, the School Director. You can talk to Melanie or any School Board Member (see picture in the School Lobby) for more information about volunteering. |
