YOUR HELP IS NEEDED FOR THESER MINISTRIES!!

SOUND TEAM MEMBERS NEEDED!  The Sound Team runs the sound board each Sunday with most people serving 1-2 services a month.  While this is not very complicated, there will be short training/review sessions offered from time to time to familiarize you with the equipment and procedures.  Team members range in age from Middle School and up and all are welcome.  If you can help us in this important ministry please contact Andy Lewis.

PORCH VISTORS:    Ever heard of them?  They pay a call at the homes of our new worship guests who have offered to indicate their addresses on our Friendship pads.  In the event no one is home at the time, they leave for them on their porch a package of information about Resurrection (hence “porch visitors”) and throw in some delicious home-baked cookies!  You don’t have to bake cookies to participate in this outreach ministry, but we could sure use only a little of your valuable time, a few hours of a single day, which, because of the number of teams, you won’t have to repeat very often.  Please contact Carol Forys for more info, or just notify the Church Office [596-5808].

THE CHURCH OFFICE is looking for people to write our Sunday visitors a brief welcome note after they have attended.  Note cards and stamps are provided.  Contact the church office for more information: 596.5808.

THE ALTAR GUILD IS LOOKING FOR YOU!  We could truly use your helping hands, particularly at the 11:00 am Worship Service!  All are cordially invited to be a part of this very important ministry of setting up the altar area for worship!  For more information, please contact Sara Hellbaum.

+ ASH  WEDNESDAY  SERVICE  WITH  ASHES  AND  HOLY  COMMUNION

Wednesday, March 5, at 7:00 PM

Gather with your congregational family as we observe the most penitential day in the Christian Calendar: Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2014.  The service will include the anointing with ashes in remembrance of our sin and our need for repentance and Holy Communion, Christ’s personal assurance of the forgiveness of sins.  Join with your parish family as we begin our Lenten Journey together!  The theme for the Lenten Midweek Worship Services is “Restored in Christ.”
