PK-3 through Grade 6
For the Preschool through Elementary grades, we use Growing In Christ from Concordia Publishing House. This curriculum comprises a three year overview of Bible stories, plus an additional fall quarter (Old Testament) at the end of the three year cycle. From September through November of each year, we study the Old Testament – creation and the fall of man, the patriarchs, prophets, judges, and the history of Israel, providing students with a rich walk through the entire Old Testament and setting the stage for the promised Messiah to come. In the Winter and Spring quarters, the curriculum focuses on New Testament stories covering the life of Jesus Christ and the beginnings of the Christian church as the church festival year unfolds. We hope to give each student a comprehensive presentation of God’s salvation plan as He revealed it in the lives of the Old Testament characters and fulfilled it in His Son.

Music Program: Alternating every other week is the Sunday School music program for the PK-3 through Gr. 1 classes and the Gr. 2-6 classes. Singing, signing, and rhythm instruments are used during 20 minutes of the Sunday School Hour. A time or praise and worship or short devotion is presented to our students in a larger group setting. Mrs. Elizabeth Palmore is our Music Leader.

Sunday School and Confirmation classes go hand in hand at Resurrection Lutheran. Confirmation Classes run through the normal public school year, and are held for middle school students on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Traditionally, Youth Confirmation encompasses a two year period of Bible and catechism study, with an emphasis on “heart knowledge” as well as “head knowledge”. Our goal is to provide our young people with a sure foundation of God’s Word and how to apply it to live God-pleasing lives.

Grade 7 Sunday School & Confirmation I. Class
Luther’s catechism, church doctrine, Bible memorization and application are taught in the evening classes. Currently, the Wednesday class is taught by Pastor Ben Dolby. On Sunday mornings this year, an extensive overview of the Old Testament is taught to compliment the Wednesday Confirmation I. curriculum. The Sunday School course is taught by Mrs. Deni Lewis.
Grade 8 Sunday School & Confirmation II Class
Luther’s catechism, church doctrine, Bible memorization and application are also taught in the evening Confirmation II. classes. The Wednesday evening class is taught by Mr. Kelly Londenberg and Pastor Hank Hollar. On Sunday mornings this year, an extensive overview of the Old Testament is taught. Mr. Brad Mason is the Sunday morning teacher.
Grades 9-12, Senior LYFR Sunday Bible Class
Currently our Senior High Group is studying "The Best Is Yet To Come" every Sunday morning, led by Ms. Nicole Feldpausch and Mr. Michael Heckenberger.

HOW CAN I HELP??
That may be the most wonderful sentence ever uttered to a Sunday School Teacher or Administrator! We love to share the joy as well as the hard work it takes to offer quality Christian Education to the young saints of our congregation as well as our visitors. Below is a list of ways you can help in our Sunday School Program:
  1. PRAY!
On a regular basis, lift up our staff members and their families in prayer to the Lord. Ask for God’s protection on their health and family life, for His blessing on their weekly presentation of the Gospel, for His leadership and discernment to flourish in their lives. Pray that they will effectively manage their time and commitments to His glory!

  2. MODEL!
Teach your children and grandchildren to honor and respect their Sunday School teachers and God’s house, the church. Show your desire to grow closer to God by attending Bible Class while they are in Sunday School and make a point to attend worship with your children. Sit next to them in church and participate with eagerness in the worship service. Make family devotions and prayer a daily family activity.

  3. ACT!
Get involved in Sunday School as a Teacher, Teacher Substitute, or Assistant. Give generously to the Sunday School Missions Offering and encourage your children to do the same. Offer to bring in snack or lead a craft in your child’s class. Ask your child’s teacher if there is a classroom item you could provide.

As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)
