Our first ever Barnes and Noble Book Fair Fundraiser, held on March 4, was a great success! And we owe all of you a great big thank you! Although we have yet to receive our final totals for the fundraiser, we had already met our goal of $2000 in sales by 4:30pm.

Our fundraiser began with a very colorful Dr. Seuss themed fellowship breakfast. Green Eggs and Ham, Truffula seeds, One Fish, Two Fish cookies, and  Lorax punch were just some of the ‘Seuss’ treats.

Highlights at Barnes and Noble included many of our teachers, school board members, siblings, and members of our congregation reading some of their favorite Dr. Seuss stories. Pastor Hollar was the first to read on Sunday. He did a great job with a very interactive version of “Horton Hears a Who”.  We read from 1:00 – 4:00pm and never lacked an audience.  In addition to hearing all of the fun stories, we were able to purchase yummy cupcakes and decorate them.

Our school and church were represented well. We had a great time interacting not only with the school families and members that were able to attend, but we had many store patrons join in the fun too!

Again thank you for all of your prayers and support. The funds that we have raised will go to purchasing new playground and school equipment. As soon as we have the final numbers, I will make sure to thank you again!
