Our Advent worship service, held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, was led by the children of Resurrection Lutheran School and Child Care.  The theme for the service was, “A Bunch of Gifts”, centering around God’s gifts sent to us at Christmas time.  Throughout the service clues were given to help locate 5 gift boxes “hidden” in the audience.  Each gift box contained a special surprise that helped us celebrate God’s greatest gift to us – His Son Jesus.   Through verse and song the children shared the story of the first Christmas with 124 guests – family members, visitors and congregation members.

What a joyful and delightful evening of worship it was!

If you missed the service on Wednesday you may view it on our Facebook page or on the Website.  Our prayer is that you, through the eyes of children, may rejoice in the gifts of Christmas.

Preceding the worship service our families enjoyed an Italian meal consisting of Spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, and a variety of desserts prepared by Mrs. Susan Deck, Mr. Balsha Terzic, the staff of Resurrection Lutheran School and Child Care and members of the RLS school board.  Many thanks to all of them for a job well done!
