God bless you all!

Saturday, September 7th, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm we are hosting a “Community Cookout” here at Resurrection! This is a time of welcoming the people of our community unto our     campus in an effort to get to know them and have them get to know us!

“Last week,” Pastor Ramey observes, “we had guest families – first-time guest families – who excitedly signed up to volunteer. They are our guests! What happens if we can actually get our members to do the same?”

Once again – TODAY – we will have a table for people to sign up to serve as part of this outreach event. Will you sign up today? Additionally, we’re offering t-shirts to      everyone who helps out. Stop by and sign up to help; today is the last day we can take t-shirt orders:

OR, you can go to “Sign Up Genius” at:

Senior Moments are meeting TODAY at Smokey Bones (12451 Jefferson Ave) at 3:00 pm for an early supper. Join our “Congo-Line” as we “saunter” over for some food, fun, and   fellowship. If you are of a “certain age,” just sign up on the       Bulletin Board in the hallway, outside of the Sanctuary.

Sunday School Registration is beginning for our 2019-20 program year; please complete a registration form for each of your children and return them to the Church Office. Registration forms are available on the Sunday School desk in the Lobby, across from the Church Office.

Resurrection Early Childhood Center: UPDATES!

  • Mrs. Susan Deck has resigned as the Director, effective September 6. Thank you, Mrs. Deck, for the transitioning work you helped the school endure this past year!
  • A new director search has been helped by the Southeastern District – LCMS; an interview was held this past week and we hope to introduce a new director soon.
  • We are looking for part-time childcare worker(s) – 2-3 hours per week; call the school office if you are interested.

Peninsula Rescue Mission (a partner, parachurch ministry) PRM continues to share hope and make a difference in people’s lives?  Resurrection support PRM through periodic donations of non-perishable food and household supplies. August Needs: Spaghetti sauce, sweet “kids” cereal, and salad dressing. Place your donations in the PRM bin the Lobby.

We still have four backpacks to be filled with school supplies for children of struggling families at Saunders Elementary School. Pick up one of our bags on the Sunday School desk in the Church Lobby, purchase the supplies on the supply list, and return it to church by August 27th. Thanks!

College students’ contact information is requested by the Church Office so we can keep in touch with them while they’re away from home. Please give us: name, phone       number, email and address (for packages) of your student through the Church Office.
