PORT (People Offering Resources Together) IS HERE: Resurrection has opened its doors (ending this Wednesday, November 15), and with the help from other churches, we are feeding those in need a hot dinner and giving them a warm, safe place to sleep, followed by a hot breakfast the next morning.  Please check with Doreen Canuelle or Ann Wahlstrom to see if any items are still needed. THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP!

THANKSGIVING BASKET DONATIONS:  Resurrection Lutheran Church and School, under the direction of the Board of Outreach Ministries, are putting together Thanksgiving Food Baskets for needy families in our church and community.  (please refer to the insert in today’s bulletin)  Today’s donations are potatoes, boxed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and rice. Thanksgiving Baskets will be put together next Sunday. Items can still be brought to the church this week.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP GROUP HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED:  Please join the Men’s Fellowship Group for Breakfast this Saturday, November 18th, beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  After the break-fast, a short program will be held as well as time for good discussion and fellowship.  All men of the congregation are welcome and encouraged to attend – a splendid time is guaranteed for all!  See Bob for more information.

THE OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD FILLED BOXES MUST BE TURNED IN TODAY, as boxes will loaded and taken to the Distribution Point so they can be shared with children around the world, as they hear the Good News of God’s love through the birth and life of His Son and our Savior, Jesus.  Financial support is also needed for the shipping costs of the boxes.  Please contact Phil for more information.

CALLING ALL WOMEN OF RESURRECTION!  Please join the women of Resurrection (Women in God’s Service – WIGS) this Monday, November 13th at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary.  We would love to have new members and veteran members for this important meeting!

All kinds of pies and desserts will be on sale for Thanksgiving, and ALL PROCEEDS support the “Christmas Families Project” of the Women in God’s Service (WIGS).  At-Need families in our area have a merrier Christmas due to the gifts purchased and donated by the WIGS through your support!

  1. Bishops and curates are bound to admit the commissaries of papal indulgences with all reverence.
  2. But they are much more bound to strain their eyes and ears lest these men preach their own dreams instead of what the pope has commissioned.
  3. Let him who speaks against the truth concerning papal indulgences be anathema and accursed.
