VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2018, JULY 18 – 20.  “Babylon: Daniel’s Courage in Captivity. We are READY to REGISTER participants . . . young and old!!!! Please visit the church website and click on the VBS link to register TODAY!!  ALSO, a needs list (both supplies and financial) has been posted on the bulletin board in the sanctuary hallway. RESCUE MISSION NEEDS FOR JUNE: Monetary donations to support their Camp Open Arms for children this summer. Blue donation envelopes are available above the Rescue Mission collection basket in the Church Office Lobby.

PORTALS OF PRAYER: The July–September edition of this excellent devotional booklet is available at the Ushers’ Desk in the narthex.  Please ask an Usher for a copy as you leave this morning.  Also available is a Sight-Saver edition.  Why not take two copies and share one with a friend … and meanwhile invite them to worship with us! 

SENIOR MOMENTS will not be meeting in June due to Father’s Day.

THE MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR CRYSTAL will be this Saturday, June 23, at 2:00 PM at Resurrection.  The service will be followed by a Reception in the Fellowship Hall.

HELP WANTED:  Resurrection Lutheran School and Child Care is accepting applications for Summer Help.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.   Please contact the school office at 757-596-5808 and ask to speak with Ann Ezell, DCE/School Administrator.

RESURRECTION LUTHERAN SCHOOL is currently enrolling for the 2018 – 2019 school year.  Do you know of someone looking for preschool or daycare options?  Classes start for 2 ½ year old to Pre K 4 on September 4thNewport News Public schools from Deer Park, Saunders, Hidenwood, Hilton and Watkins have bus stops at Resurrection.  Please tell your friends and neighbors! SUMMER CAMP at RESURRECTION LUTHERAN SCHOOL: Summer Camp begins on Monday, June 18th. The theme for this summer is “Animals, Animals, Animals.” Each week the students will learn about a different group of animals, ie: Animals of the Artic, Animals of the Forest, Zoo Animals and much more.  Three field trips are being scheduled to enhance our program, The Virginia Living Museum, Norfolk Zoo and Bluebird Gap Farm. SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS: Can you teach a combined K – 5th grade Sunday School class for one (or more) Sunday(s) this summer?  Do you enjoy seeing young saints respond to the Good News of Jesus, and watching them grow in their faith?  Resurrection’s Summer School program needs YOU!  Easy to share materials, viable for all age groups!  Please pray on this – and if you are interested, see or contact Michelle. ASAP!    

SUMMER VACATION TIME IS COMING SOON … If you should stay in a motel and they offer small bottles of shampoo and soap please bring the unused ones as we put them together into a hygiene kit during PORT (People Offering Resources Together) … There will be a box to collect these items. Thank you for your support.

AS YOU VACATION THIS SUMMER, please remember to find and worship at a local Lutheran congregation.  Visit the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod website, and look under Resources to find a local LCMS congregation.  A Lutheran church is not in the vicinity?  Go to worship somewhere!  And please bring back a bulletin for Pr. Hank, as he solicits ideas from what other congregations are doing in ministry!
