Ann Ezell
Director of Christian Education & Principal

Ann H. Ezell was born on September 22, 1951, in Fort Myers, Florida, daughter of the late Reverend Eugene F. Helms and Charlotte R. Helms and is the middle of their three children. She attended elementary school and the first two years of high school in Florida and her senior year of high school in New Britain, Connecticut. After graduating from high school she attended Concordia College in Bronxville, New York, and received the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975. She was a member of the Concordia Tour Choir and served as a Women's resident assistant. After graduation she had supervisory experience in the banking industry.

Ann served as Principal (1977-1979)/Teacher (1975-1979) of Emmanuel Lutheran School in Hampton, Virginia. In 1979 she accepted a Call to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in San Antonio, Texas as Principal/Teacher where she was instrumental in the inception of their School and Child Care Program. In the summer of 1980 she accepted a Call to serve as Principal/Teacher of Memorial Lutheran School and Child Care in Houston, Texas, again being primarily involved with the setting up of their School and Child Care program.

Ann has been a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church since 1987. She has served as Chairperson of the Board of Christian Education, taught Adult Bible classes, worked with Vacation Bible School, served as the Minister of Music for Resurrection for 14 years, and accepted a Call to become the Director of Christian Education (DCE) and School Administrator in October, 1998.

On July 17, 1982, Ann and Thomas Eugene Ezell, III, were married. Tom is a Captain, Firefighter/Paramedic for the James City County Fire Department as well as serving with the Peninsula Emergency Medical Services organization.
